Does anyone remember why many of the guard members are wearing green gloves?

Don't think this is labelled correctly. Guard is wearing jackets in other pics, background definitely not downtown Toronto. Green gloves St Patrick's Day parade somewhere?

All I can say is that this shot was included in the batch of photos showing the 1962 Grey Cup parade.

The flags are not in the same position/order as Bay St pictures? I don't think that rifleman is Bill McNabb or Al Miller
