Slideshow of Don Daber

Don Daber passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019. Some of the hats that Don wore were corps photographer, Publicity Director and Corps Director for both the Toronto Optimists and the Seneca Optimists Drum Corps. Don's mantra, which he chanted regularly, was "What about the kids". This video is a tribute to Don who devoted his life to promoting not only the Toronto Optimists Drum Corps but the entire Drum and Bugle Corps activity – in both Canada and the United States. The audio track is the 1962 Toronto Optimists at the Canadian Nationals.

This video includes a brief biography of Don, as well as images of Don and his work, both corps and non-corps related. The audio track features the 1967 Toronto Optimists and was recorded at the CYO Nationals on August 27, 1967 in Newton, MA.
